We (Tim (left) and James (right)) have known one another since child hood and grew up in a sleepy village in Cheshire, and with a common interest in railways we soon became best of friends.
Childhood meant both of us had extensive OO layouts, but with rolling stock that gradually went from out of the box to unique, carefully detailed and weathered models (with a few mistakes along the way). Having lost touch in our teens, we both found a re-birth into the hobby in our late 20s and independently stumbled upon narrow gauge. The skills and techniques learnt as children were dusted off and new ones learnt including etched brass kit construction and 3D printing.

It is with this passion for narrow gauge, model making and giving something back to the hobby that this blog is presented as a joint project, written and edited in a way to make the hobby accessible to as many different people as possible. Anyone can have a go at railway modelling, but it is often through experience that we learn. If what you read here can help speed you along that journey then our work is done - and for everyone else, just enjoy the pictures.
